If you are ready to get in touch with us, reach out via our contact form. Once your are committed to getting a puppy, then we will kindly ask you to fill out an application.
After a phone call and possible video call, we will confirm the planned litter and we will request a $300 non-refundable deposit. Your deposit is required to become part of our puppy list. Next we will continue discussions about preferences since we will match you with your suitable puppy.
Our puppies cost $1500 plus transportation. Your deposit will go towards the purchase price. If you pick up your puppy at Galaxy Kuvasz, then the transportation cost is zero. Due to the size of our puppies and the unwillingness of most airlines to fly puppies, we expect to arrange ground transportation. If we meet around 300 miles from us, then the transportation cost is $500. If we meet further than 300 miles, then the transportation cost is $1000. We do reserve the right to alter these prices at any time. These costs will be outlined in your purchase contract. This contract will be provided prior to final details of the delivery. This contract will be signed by the breeder and the buyer which clarified our obligations and responsibilities.
Next, you should start preparing for your puppy. Reading about Puppy training and purchasing the necessary supplies. You can line up initial Veterinary visit and research puppy classes or other training options.

We make careful decisions about breeding in an attempt to produce the very best dogs. If something goes terribly wrong, then we will try to work with you for a solution.
No, these hernias are very common in Kuvasz puppies. This condition doesn’t affect the quality of your dog. Repairs can be made during a spay/neuter surgery.
We take great care in matching each puppy with the right home. Through ongoing conversations, we learn about your lifestyle, preferences, and what you're looking for in a Kuvasz. At the same time, we closely observe our puppies as their personalities develop. By considering factors like temperament, energy level, and intended purpose—whether as a guardian, companion, or show dog—we ensure that you receive a puppy that best fits your needs and expectations. Our goal is to create the perfect match for both you and your new Kuvasz.
Our Galaxy puppies come with microchips, AKC registration, up to date with vaccines, deworming, wellness veterinary exam, and food sample. Your puppy will be on the road for you to continue socialization, training, and the beginnings of housebreaking.
You should have a 42 inch crate with divider, 8-10 inch collar, nylon or leather 6 foot leash, stainless steel water and food bowls, simple 2x3 feet shag rugs for beds (similar to bathroom tub rugs), and toys which can take lots of chewing.
Puppies naturally chew as they grow, so it’s best to avoid giving them stuffed toys or beds until they outgrow this phase. Be cautious with small toys or objects, as they can be swallowed and may require surgical removal. For collars, adult Kuvasz typically wear sizes ranging from 20–24 inches, while puppy collars should be considered temporary.
To prevent unwanted chewing, keep items like glasses, TV remotes, phones, and socks out of reach. Close doors to rooms where a puppy might have potty training accidents. Additionally, be mindful of their developing growth plates, which are made of cartilage. Avoid allowing them to jump from high surfaces like decks or beds, as this can cause damage. A good rule of thumb is to limit jumping to a height no greater than their elbow to the ground.
A typical adult Kuvasz eats 3–5 cups of food per day, while seniors may require around 2.5 cups. Puppies’ food intake varies based on growth spurts, and working Kuvasz or growing pups may need food with at least 26% protein. If I can easily feel or place a finger between my dog's ribs, I increase their food intake. If they require 4 or more cups daily, I switch to a diet with 30% protein to support their energy needs. Since Kuvasz have historically consumed grains, a grain-inclusive diet is recommended for their overall health.
Provide your puppy a safe space to eat their food without the fear of food being taken away for any reason. This training also includes not allowing people or other dogs to mess with this puppy’s food while this puppy is eating. This stress or fear with food will lead to aggressive behaviors.
Kuvasz will dig holes if they need more mental stimulation or exercise. Another reason for a hole is to have cool soil to lay in. If you don’t want this behavior, then play a new game with your Kuvasz with toys or other activities.
